About the Role We are seeking a Billing Coordinator to support front-end and back-end billing operations across our fully virtual care delivery model. This role plays an important part in supporting a seamless and compliant revenue cycle by helping ensure services are accurately documented, charges are entered on time, and insurance claims are submitted, tracked, and resolved efficiently. The Billing Coordinator will support key billing activities including charge entry, claims submission and follow-up, denial resolution, patient billing, and accounts receivable monitoring. What You Need to Succeed in the Role 1–3 years of healthcare billing experience; behavioral health or telehealth experience strongly preferred. About the Role The Senior Financial Counselor is an individual contributor reporting to the Senior Director, Operations. This role serves as InStride Health’s internal subject matter expert on patient cost share, insurance benefit interpretation, and billing expectations, with a focus on enabling clarity, accuracy, and consistency at scale. The Senior Financial Counselor plays a dual role: Providing consultative support and escalation coverage for complex or sensitive insurance and cost share questions Proactively building the training, tools, and processes that enable frontline teams to independently and confidently address the majority of patient and caregiver questions. The Sr. Financial Counselor serves as an escalation and subject matter expert for complex insurance, cost share, and billing questions, while enabling patient-facing teams to confidently address the majority of routine inquiries through training, tools, and standardized guidance. This role works cross-functionally with Admissions, Support Services, Revenue Cycle, and Payor Relations teams. While not a people manager, the Senior Financial Counselor operates with manager-level accountability and influence, scaling impact through expertise, enablement, and system design rather than headcount. <li>Conduct proactive risk assessments on new initiatives, identifying structural bottlenecks and design challenges before implementation.</li>

Cross-Functional Partnership &amp; Coordination
<ul>
<li>Coordinate working groups across Clinical, Operations, Product, Technology, and Commercial teams, keeping stakeholders accountable to shared timelines and initiative goals.</li>
<li>Engage executive sponsors and initiative leaders to pressure-test feasibility, surface constraints early, and prepare clear decision briefs that keep leadership informed.</li>
</ul>
Analytics &amp; Performance Management
<ul>
<li>Build analyses, financial models, and operational business cases that equip leadership with the data needed to evaluate tradeoffs and make informed decisions.</li>
<li>Partner with the Data and Analytics team to define, build, and refine the operational metrics and dashboards that connect cross-functional execution to the corporate scorecard.</li>
<li>Diagnose operational inefficiencies by synthesizing data across the business, surfacing root causes, and recommending targeted process improvements.</li>
</ul>
Process Improvement &amp; Scale
<ul>
<li>Develop solutions across time horizons, identifying quick wins, medium-term process improvements, and longer-term structural changes that compound over time.</li>
<li>Evaluate and refine operational processes continuously, identifying automation opportunities and structural improvements that improve consistency and efficiency.</li>
</ul>
What You Need to Succeed in the Role
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in business, economics, health policy, or a related field. 5 to 7 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or a similar analytical role; experience in healthcare or a high-growth startup strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from design through delivery, with strong project management instincts and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills with experience building business cases, financial models, or operational metrics frameworks; comfort working with data to validate decisions and measure outcomes.</li>
<li>Excellent communicator with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and actionable outputs.</li>
<li>Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing sight of priorities.</li>
<li>Self-directed and comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where priorities shift and resources are constrained.</li>
<li>Genuine passion for transforming access to pediatric mental health care and the mission of InStride Health.</li>
</ul>
The expected annual salary for this role is between $135,000-$155,000. Actual starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis and will be based on several factors including but not limited to specific skill set, work experience, etc.<div class="content-conclusion">Why Join Our Team
