Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic’s complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI.

What is The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Platform team and build the tools that make engineers' lives easier, both when they're building integrations and when they're pulling data together to actually make sense of it. This role is about developer experience: understanding what developers actually struggle with day to day, and building tools that remove that friction so they can move faster and get more done.

The Integrations Platform team owns the tooling that supports how integrations get built, deployed, and understood. That includes infrastructure and deployment tooling built on Terraform, telemetry pipelines running through BigQuery, and the AI-driven tools and evaluations we use to interpret that data and turn it into something people can actually act on. You'll build and maintain these tools, listen closely to the engineers who rely on them, and take ownership of projects that span infrastructure, telemetry, and AI-assisted data interpretation, from first idea to shipped result.

This is fast-moving, often ambiguous work. We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating without a fixed spec, listens thoughtfully, and collaborates well across teams. You should drive effectively toward outcomes while supporting your teammates, bring clear ideas on what should be built, care about the developers using your tools, and feel equally comfortable working independently or alongside product teams and partners.

Prior experience with the Elastic product suite isn't required, but it helps.

What you will be doing:

Lead green-field initiatives that shape the future of the developer experience for building and maintaining Security Integrations

Architect and drive the tooling and automation strategy, leveraging Gen AI to solve problems at scale rather than one-off fixes

Set a collaborative tone for the team by fostering open communication, mutual respect, and thoughtful decision-making, while mentoring engineers along the way

Represent the team in the open, working closely with Security and Ingest teams, Elastic users, and the broader open source community to shape direction and build trust

What you bring:

Experience building and running evals for AI systems at scale, with a strong sense of measuring output quality and catching regressions

Strong proficiency in Python and Go, with hands-on Terraform for infrastructure and deployment, and BigQuery for telemetry and data analysis

Proven ability to run projects end to end with autonomy, alongside the judgment to bring others along and seek input when needed

Bonus Points:

Production experience with the general Elastic ingest model

Senior Software Engineer - Security Integrations - Prompt Engineering

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter.

Experience in cybersecurity

Experience parsing logs and events, ideally with exposure to OpenTelemetry, ECS, or OCSF in a security or observability context

Principal Software Engineer I - Platform Billing Core

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic’s complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI.

What is The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team and help us build how Elastic shows up inside the AI ecosystem. AI assistants and agentic tools are quickly becoming the place where developers start their work, and this role exists to make Elastic work in the tools and ecosystems that our users use. We want to be easy to find, easy to connect to, and easy to use.

The Integrations team owns the developer-facing surfaces that connect Elastic to the broader ecosystem: language clients, CLI, MCP server, third-party integrations, and the skills that make Elastic accessible wherever developers work. You'll build and maintain these projects, engage directly with the developer community, and contribute across team and cross-functional initiatives.

This is fast-moving territory. We want someone who enjoys an ambiguous, quick-shifting space, who forms opinions about what should be built and not only how, and who is comfortable working closely with our product teams and external partners.

Prior experience with the Elastic product suite is not essential, but is beneficial.

What You Will Be Doing

You'll build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and the infrastructure behind it, working primarily in Go.

You'll build the platform for universal agent skills: the portable format, the authoring and publishing tooling, and the linting that lets any team at Elastic ship a skill that runs across every agent.

You'll help set the correctness bar, making sure the skills and tools we ship are backed by evals rather than assumed to work.

You'll design and deliver integrations that make Elastic available inside third-party AI ecosystems. For that you’ll work closely with our product team and third-party partners to shape and land those integrations.

You'll contribute to our Elastic CLI to enhance the efficiency of developers and their agents.

You'll be developing, maintaining, and supporting libraries, tools, and integrations related to the Elastic Stack, working in a mixture of languages including Go and Rust.

You'll bring product thinking to the team, holding and defending opinions on what we should build and why, informed by the ecosystem around us.

What You Bring

8+ years of software engineering experience working on backend systems, services or libraries.

Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and a working understanding of LLMs, agents, agent skills and protocols such as MCP. Interest in proving correctness through evaluation rather than assuming it.

Significant recent working experience of Go and (ideally) other languages.

Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.

Comfort reading and contributing to codebases in languages you don't own, and no fear of picking up an unfamiliar one.

Knowledge of industry best practices in software engineering.

Product thinking: an interest in the wider ecosystem and strong opinions on what is worth building.

A strong focus on usability and developer experience.

Comfort with context-switching and with a space that changes quickly.

A genuine interest in technology and an active interest in exploring multiple programming languages.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, including in front of customers and external partners.

A willingness to work as part of a remote, globally distributed team.

Clear thinking, self-motivation, and the ability to learn and work independently.

Bonus Points

Experience building or operating infrastructure, and an interest in telemetry and observability (nice to have)

A connection to technical communities through open source projects, blogs or talks (nice to have)

Experience working with third-party or partner engineering teams (nice to have)

Prior experience of Elastic products (nice to have)

This approach helps ensure consistency across comparable roles while remaining competitive within the relevant labour markets.

The final compensation offered within the applicable range will be determined based on several objective factors, including relevant professional experience, level of skills and expertise, alignment with the role requirements, and the overall scope and complexity of the position.

The typical starting salary range for this role is:

307 800 zł—486 900 zł PLN

Additional Information - We Take Care of Our People

Director of Software Engineering - Distributed Systems, Serverless - Elasticsearch

What is The Role:

We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Search Infra team. This globally-distributed team of experienced engineers focuses on delivering a robust and feature-rich search experience, including contributing to improving the search experience in Lucene. This is a principle software engineering role that entails using your vast knowledge in this space in order to define, direct, and build the next generation of Elasticsearch capabilities. This role provides technical vision and direction for Elasticsearch’s core search infrastructure, including indexing, retrieval, and relevance, and requires deep expertise in search internals and cross-team collaboration.

Our company is distributed by intention. We hire the best engineers we can find wherever they are, whoever they are. We collaborate across continents every day over email, GitHub, Zoom, and Slack. At our best, we write fast, scalable and intuitive software. We believe that the best way to do that is to empower individual engineers, code review every change, decide big things by consensus, and strive for incremental improvements.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a full-time Elasticsearch contributor, you will define, lead, and contribute to the evolution of core search and indexing capabilities. You’ll research advances in search infrastructure, data structures, and retrieval algorithms to ensure we’re building the most efficient and powerful foundations for our users. You’ll work closely with our partners and product teams to understand their needs and help shape the long-term technical vision for search at Elastic. You’ll bring your past experience with large-scale search systems to drive an innovative roadmap for Elasticsearch’s indexing, query execution, and relevance layers. As an authority in several areas of Elasticsearch, you’ll be the go-to expert for those domains, continuously improving them through your insights and instincts.

What You Will Bring:

Experience leading technical projects in the search infrastructure and distributed systems space. You bring proven knowledge in building and operating sophisticated search platforms and engineering robust, high-performance software systems.

Experience mentoring expert engineers, providing both technical and professional guidance.

Experience defining a long-term technical vision for a core search or retrieval system, working across teams and organizations to collaboratively shape the technical roadmap.

Hands-on experience with search and indexing technologies such as Elasticsearch, Lucene, or Solr,

Strong skills in core Java and familiarity with advanced data structures and concurrency constructs, as well as newer language features like lambdas. You have a strong desire to optimize and leverage the most efficient algorithms and search data structures.

Able to work with a high level of autonomy, tackling projects and guiding them from concept to completion, including both technical design and collaboration with other engineers to develop the necessary components.

Experience with large-scale data or search systems such as Elasticsearch, Lucene, Solr, or distributed storage engines, and an understanding of how they work and why they work that way.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Collaborating across distributed teams is challenging, we value being supportive, empathetic, and trusting in all interactions, and we expect the same from everyone on the team.

Bonus Points

You've built things with Elasticsearch before, and you have experience in the search and information retrieval space and understand the constructs and theory behind it.

Experience working with open source projects and familiar with different styles of source control workflow and continuous integration.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.

Salary ranges are established based on a combination of external market benchmarks, internal pay equity considerations, and the responsibilities and complexity associated with each role.

€67.000—€106.000 EUR

Additional Information - We Take Care of Our People
