This role integrates hands-on clinical background with advanced translational research experience to shape evidence generation, strengthen KOL engagement, and ensure scientific excellence across programs. In addition, this Medical Director will support our commercial and marketing teams during urological product launch planning, launch, and on-market activities.
The successful candidate needs to have an advanced degree in a field relevant to the role (e.g. MD, PhD, or MD/PhD), a proven track record cancer–centered research involving molecular assay development, and experience with multi-institutional collaborations. This position is onsite in San Diego. Responsibilities Scientific & Clinical Leadership Provide subject matter expertise in urologic oncology, with emphasis on bladder cancer, molecular subtyping, and genomic diagnostics.
Guide R&D and Clinical Affairs on study design, protocol development, and biomarker validation across the Urology portfolio. Establish key collaborations with academic KOLs and institutions to build evidence supporting the clinical validation and utility of urologic products. Serve as the medical lead in CLIA-based and IVD-based regulatory submissions for bladder cancer products, including support for analytical and clinical validation packages.
Provide medical and scientific oversight during the development and execute of product publication strategies. Ensure scientific accuracy and clinical relevance across internal and external communications.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications MD or MD/PhD and a minimum of 10 years of experience with specialization or direct experience in Urology. Expertise in molecular diagnostics and clinical research. Strong publication record.

Experience with genomic assays. Regulatory submission involvement. Collaborations with academic centers. #LI-Onsite For candidates based in our San Diego office, the salary is $347,000 - $397,000 per year. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
