Job Description

SHUTTLE DRIVER - TEMPORARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Transport people in a shuttle between locations Safely load and unload cargo as needed Responsible for ensuring shuttle contents are secured for safe and undamaged delivery to destination Avoiding high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible Monitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to manager immediately Responsible for the cleanliness of vehicle and refueling when low In case of emergency contact immediate supervisor and provide detailed information to remedy issue POSITION DETAILS: This is a temporary position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.
LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need) LOCATION: Brownsville, TX BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalency certificate 2+ years of professional experience driving people in a commercial setting OR 6+ months of contracting driving experience at SpaceX PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Class B CDL passenger endorsement 10+ years of professional driving experience Professional experience driving people Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes Experience with route planning Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong customer-service background ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver's license and clean DMV record Ability to work all required hours, weekends and off-shifts with minimal notice ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
