We are seeking a Distinguished Engineer to define and drive the long-term architectural vision for our cloud-delivered Security Service Edge (SSE) platform, while ensuring strategic alignment with our next-generation physical firewall portfolio. This role will primarily focus on evolving a globally distributed, multi-tenant cloud security platform — guiding its scalability, resilience, extensibility, and innovation trajectory.

In parallel, the Distinguished Engineer will ensure that our physical firewall products integrate seamlessly into a unified security ecosystem through shared policy, telemetry, and management frameworks. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring exceptional depth in cloud-native distributed systems, security architectures, and high-performance networking.   Key Responsibilities Drive a cohesive long-term architecture strategy spanning cloud-native SSE and physical firewall appliances Oversee and mentor Principal Engineers and Architects across product lines.

Guide high-performance packet processing architectures (L3–L7) Guide architecture for building and scaling cloud native security services Evaluate emerging technologies and drive incubation of next-generation capabilities. Represent the company in strategic customer or partner technical engagements when needed.   Required Skills & Experience 18+ years of engineering experience in cybersecurity, networking, cloud platforms Proven experience shaping large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS architectures.

Experience with high-performance packet processing and traffic inspection. Strong systems thinking across hardware, firmware, and cloud software layers. Experience mentoring senior technical leaders and architects.
