Your Impact: Rapport is seeking a Senior Manager / Associate Director of Biostatistics who will have a hands-on role in shaping the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trial data for our precision neuromedicine programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Biostatistics, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to advance groundbreaking therapies, ensuring statistical rigor and the highest standards of data integrity throughout the drug development process. Your Day-to-Day: Oversee the production of protocol development (study design, endpoint selection, sample size calculation and statistical methods) and Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) that lead to comprehensive clinical study reports suitable for regulatory submissions. Your mission is to accelerate the integration of AI tools across the enterprise, moving beyond the "hype" to deliver tangible improvements in operational efficiency and scientific output. You will partner with leaders in Research, Clinical Operations, Finance, IT, and People &amp; Culture to identify high-impact opportunities, design implementation roadmaps, and lead a culture-shifting training program to ensure every employee is "AI-fluent." Your impact:
Reporting to the VP Finance, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will be a critical leader within our finance team and a key business partner for leadership, our program teams, and for all functional areas within the Company.&nbsp; This role will oversee the financial forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning and periodic performance analysis to support management and program team decision making. This role requires a high degree of analytical expertise, strategic thinking, collaboration skills and leadership to partner with our team and drive our financial planning processes.
Your day-to-day: 
<ul>
<li>Work with functional leaders to develop annual budgets,&nbsp;financial forecasts and long-range plans that align with company strategy. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation of planning calendars, assisting the business with alignment on planning guidance and driving trade-off decisions during the budget creation process.</li>
<li>Serve as a finance representative on cross functional program development teams to assist with managing program budgets, scenario plan and help determine optimal allocation of program resources both as part of formal forecast cycles and to meet ad hoc needs.</li>
<li>Provide quarterly variance analysis of actuals to forecast/budget, explain and investigate any significant discrepancies, and understand key business drivers.</li>
<li>Partner closely with the Accounting team to create a robust monthly accrual process and assist with determining the validity of accrual confirmations from vendors.</li>
<li>Partner with the business, HR and other key stakeholders to ensure rigorous financial management, understand the ongoing needs of the organization, ability to reallocate funds based on evolving budget needs, identify cost saving opportunities, etc.</li>
<li>Prepare and present variance reporting, dashboards and other reporting packages for program teams, functional leaders, leadership team, and Board of Directors.</li>
<li>Develop financial models and provide support and analysis to support strategic initiatives including financing “use of proceeds” scenarios, possible future collaborations or other business development efforts.</li>
<li>Serve as administrator of Rapport’s financial planning tool, Adaptive Insights.</li>
<li>Define and implement right-sized policies, procedures and systems that will improve the overall operation, effectiveness, and scalability of the FP&amp;A function.</li>
</ul>
Must-Haves: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; MBA highly preferred</li>
<li>12+ years experience in financial planning and analysis</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of budgeting processes specific to the biotech industry, including R&amp;D forecasting and clinical trial budgeting</li>
<li>Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, and experience with public company compliance highly desired</li>
<li>Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Adaptive Insights or other financial planning software preferred; NetSuite and Coupa experience also highly valued</li>
<li>Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills</li>
