Summary of Position: We are seeking talented Freelance Art Director across Associate, Mid, and Senior levels to join our creative team. As an Art Director at NVE, you'll help create experiences and campaigns for some of the world’s biggest, boldest and most beloved brands. This is a mid-level role that requires a strong artistic vision, conceptual chops, and the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver best-in-class brand experiences and campaigns.

Job Responsibilities: Contribute big, bold, breakthrough ideas for brand experiences and campaigns Develop visual expressions of creative ideas – this could include everything from mood boards to 2D comps Help lead brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and concepts Work with other departments, such as strategy, accounts and production, to ensure work delivers on the brief Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and translate it into compelling visual designs Oversee the selection of visual elements, including photos, art, and other design components Present concepts to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating the creative vision Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in copywriting, storytelling and marketing Be a student of best-in-class ideas and campaigns that have brand experience at the center Mentor less experienced art directors and creatives, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment Qualifications: You have a portfolio that shows your visual storytelling and conceptual potential (spec work is okay if it shows your thinking) You embody NVE’s behaviors – be courageous, be committed, be curious, be catalysts, and be good citizens You are an ideas person with great taste, design savvy and style You are confident, passionate and have a POV, but not an ego – you know that this work takes teamwork You are a lifelong student of creativity, art direction and design – you love what you do and it shows Requirements:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time Location:  We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York.
