Position Overview

We are seeking an Engineer II to join our cloud-based Network Management System (NMS) development team. This entry-level position is perfect for recent graduates or early-career engineers who want to build expertise in network management software while working on cutting-edge cloud platforms that manage enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, and WiFi access points.

Key Responsibilities

  • Feature Development: Implement well-defined features for network device monitoring and management interfaces under senior engineer guidance

  • UI Component Development: Build responsive web components for network dashboards, device status displays, and configuration forms

  • API Integration: Integrate frontend components with existing backend APIs for device data retrieval and configuration

  • Bug Fixes: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects in network management applications

  • Testing: Write unit tests and perform integration testing for network management features

  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented features

  • Code Reviews: Participate in code review processes and learn from senior team members

  • Learning & Development: Actively learn networking fundamentals, cloud technologies, and company-specific domain knowledge

  • Quality Assurance: Support QA processes by testing network device integrations and user workflows

  • Minor Enhancements: Implement small improvements to existing network monitoring and configuration tools

Technical Requirements

  • Frontend Basics: Foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and one modern framework (React.js preferred)

  • Backend Fundamentals: Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and server-side programming (Node.js, Python, or Java)

  • Database Basics: Understanding of SQL databases and basic query operations

  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git for collaborative development

  • Development Tools: Familiarity with modern IDEs, debugging tools, and basic command-line operations

  • Web Technologies: Understanding of HTTP protocols, web security basics, and responsive design

  • Learning Aptitude: Strong willingness to learn networking concepts, cloud platforms, and domain-specific technologies

Networking Knowledge (Training Provided)

  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals

  • Curiosity about network devices and infrastructure management

  • Interest in learning about network protocols, device configuration, and monitoring systems

  • No prior network management experience required - comprehensive training provided

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field

  • 0-2 years of software development experience (internships and projects count)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle
