Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the organizations by providing timely, accurate and insightful businessexpense performance analyses to management. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendationsfor financial plans, future requirements and operating forecasts. Develops, interprets and implements financialconcepts for financial planning and control while performing technical analyses to determine present and futurefinancial performance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor, identify, and communicate financial expense performance to business partnersReview and approve expense requisitions; highlighting items which are outside of budget parametersDevelop departmental financial and project expense benchmarks and reportingCreate ad-hoc analyses and business forecastsSupport accounting close process and audit reportingDesign and implement scalable processes and procedures to report key business metricsIdentify and drive implementation of cost reduction and process improvement projectsWork with all functional groups to meet financial and corporate goalsThis role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to varioustechnologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the jobEmployee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies andProcedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 daysof hire.
Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, related degree, or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting experienceExcel skills experience is a necessity (pivot tables, VBA macros and Lookup functions)Strong financial systems and business application skills including database applications (Qlikview)Working knowledge of GAAP.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Strong analytical skills with a focus on solving moderate to complex financial issuesExperience supporting an R&D/Engineering organization is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter with ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple time sensitive projects, multi-task, identify projectinterdependencies and potential risks/pitfallsAbility to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality in handling information and issues that arisewhile staying within defined policies and practices.
