The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and soon-to-be-graduating intern to join our dynamic International Procurement Team as a Category Management Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is on the verge of completing their studies and is eager to gain hands-on experience in strategic procurement within a fast-paced and innovative company.

What you’ll do Support in the development and implementation of category strategies that align with the overall objectives and supply chain requirements.

Assist in identifying, selecting, and managing relationships with key suppliers and vendors across multiple markets. Participate in supplier negotiations, learning the ropes to ensure the best possible terms and conditions. Contribute to the identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities by leveraging volumes and improving processes in different markets.

Collaborate in conducting make-or-buy analyses to facilitate well-informed strategic procurement decisions. Contribute to the development of cost models through in-depth analysis and assist in monitoring essential commodity prices to ensure fair and accurate pricing. Learn and support in forecasting future cost pricing by utilizing data, industry knowledge, and insights to make well-founded assessments.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to contribute to the execution of procurement projects and initiatives. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between category strategy and business objectives. Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to contribute insights and identify potential risks and opportunities.

What you’ll bring Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier college or university, preferably in business, engineering, supply chain, finance, or science. Enthusiastic mindset with a proactive approach, demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work independently. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate successfully within flexible team structures.

Comfortable with managing tasks in a global team setting amid a reasonable degree of uncertainty. Eagerness to learn and contribute to managing complex projects, including the development of new processes, SLAs, and KPIs. Strong analytical skills and a willingness to develop quantitative capabilities. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of another European language (ideally French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch) is a plus.
