Job Description

THE POSITIONOur roster has an opening with your name on it We are hiring a Principal AI Solutions Architect to serve as the senior-most technical executor and systems thinker across FanDuel’s AI organization. This role is for a builder with imagination, who can take AI from ideation to deployment rapidly while teaching others how to drive technical excellence.

This is not a pure architecture or advisory role. You will operate as a hands-on technical leader, partnering across platform, forward deployed teams, and product engineering to design, build, and scale complex AI systems. You will be responsible for connecting the dots across the organization, ensuring that: Forward deployed solutions evolve into reusable platform capabilities Platform investments accelerate real-world use cases Production systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with long-term architecture You will step into the most critical, ambiguous, and high-leverage full-stack problems, bringing clarity, velocity, and technical leadership.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs. THE GAME PLANEveryone on our team has a part to play Connect the system: Ensure everything platform, forward deployed solution, and production capability fits together into a coherent, scalable architecture Lead through building: Contribute directly in code and design when it matters most, setting the standard through execution Unblock and accelerate teams: Remove technical friction and enable others to deliver faster and more effectively Make smart trade-offs: Guide decisions across performance, cost, reliability, and time-to-market Raise the technical bar: Mentor senior engineers and shape how we build across the organization Stay fluent in Innovation: Maintain a strong understanding of the next wave of generative and agentic AI systems and the horizons for deploying them effectively.

Bring informed perspectives to product trade-offs around performance, cost, latency, and experience that balances near term success and where technology and capabilities are headed THE STATSWhat we're looking for in our next teammate 8+ years of AI developer experience, with a track record of building and using AI to lead the next generation of digital products with measurable business impact.

Track record of taking products from concept to launch in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Academic and practical fluency with generative AI tools and concepts. You know how to use them effectively, and you’re an expert in how they work under the hood. Strong data fluency: ability to define KPIs, design experiments, interpret results, and make principled trade-offs.

Ability to operate autonomously, create clarity from ambiguity, and influence across a matrixed organization. High ownership mindset with a bias for action and outcomes over outputs. Comfort working across multiple projects, business contexts, and stakeholder groups. For bonus points, experience and background in gaming, fintech, marketplace, or other regulated industries.
