Software Engineer I Location: Belfast, Hybrid (3 days in office) Full Time, Permanent Life at EverQuote  Our Sites Engineering teams focus on building and optimizing consumer-facing experiences to support the real-time connection of our shoppers to the best insurance partner for their needs.  We’re looking for a Software Engineer who can join our small and energetic team.

In this role you’ll learn and grow as an engineer through mentoring and support, as well as have the room to drive your own career journey.  What you’ll do:  Work as part of an agile development team  Build software that powers EverQuote’s consumer-facing sites and experiences Collaborate with architecture, security and platform teams on new solutions Mentor graduate engineers to support their career journeys  Support business requests for insight into system performance  Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other site teams to deliver high-quality consumer products Who you are:  Commercial experience in software development  Professional experience using one object oriented programming language Proficient with agile software development methodologies  Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, observability, testing, and security best practices Strong experience in frontend and backend development (Full Stack) focused on consumer products Professional experience of one of the following languages: Java, Go, Javascript, or TypeScript  Comfortable managing infrastructure as code (IaC) preferably on AWS Experience managing code with GitHub and building/deploying with GitHub actions Experience using unit testing frameworks  Interview Steps: 1.
