The Role

In order to set you up for success as an Senior Software Engineer in the Gemini App team, we look for the following skills and experience: Key Responsibilities: Understand the critical user journeys of our target user segments (such as small business owners) and improve their user experience  Lead the full-stack implementation, from front-end, back-end, to the model, to deliver high quality products Collaborate with researchers to understand cutting-edge innovation and improvement in generative AI, and apply it to the app Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify headroom for the user journeys, and develop a strategy to design and implement solutions to improve the quality Work together with the teams responsible for model development to enhance and refine model performance About You In order to set you up for success as a Senior Software Engineer at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience: BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience Experience working on software engineering projects from prototype to production Strong communication skills and a reliable team player Proven knowledge and experience of programing in Java, C++, or Python in production environments Individuals who thrive in ambiguity and have a shipping mindset Willing to do whatever moves the projects forward In addition, the following would be an advantage:  Strong data analysis skills Experience with ML, especially LLMs Ability to thrive and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders   The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $166,000 - $244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
