Apply today and make an impact at Core Scientific.  Title  Network Engineer   Reports To  VP, Network Engineering  The Job   Network Engineer assists in the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network systems.

This entry-level role is ideal for individuals seeking to establish a solid foundation in network engineering within a collaborative IT environment.   Responsibilities   Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.  Monitor network performance and availability; respond to alerts and outages under guidance from senior staff.  Provide first-level support for network-related incidents and service requests.  Collaborate with other IT teams to support ongoing infrastructure projects.  Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.  Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to ensure network reliability.  Support inventory management of networking hardware and cabling.  Stay informed on basic networking trends and best practices.  Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Qualifications   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.  Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing protocols.  Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.  Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.  Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions from senior engineers.  Internship or hands-on experience in a network support role is a plus.  Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent (or actively pursuing) are preferred.  Exposure to network monitoring tools and ticketing systems is preferred.  Location  On Site  Travel   Occasional travel may be required as needed.  Work Environment  This job operates in a data center, office, and shop environment.

This role routinely uses standard maintenance equipment such as ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, power tools, voltmeters, etc. While performing these duties the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.   Physical Demands   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 50 pounds.   Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work   This is a full-time position.

General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some nights and weekends may be required.   Supervisory Experience (Yes or No)  No
