Role and Team The Vehicle Inspection Supervisor is responsible for developing and directing a high-performing team that will exceed expectations and provide exceptional customer service experience. You will maintain a strong understanding of operational needs and processes.  This position will report to the manager designated by the General Manager.  Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all company initiatives, policies, and procedures Support operational administration to move vehicles through the process with strong understanding of processes, collaboration across the organization and communication internally Demonstrate knowledge of products and services and maximize our technology Inspect vehicles for damages and ensure that vehicles previously inspected meet the program standard as defined by various accounts Possess a thorough understanding of the systems that are used daily to complete inspections and achieve internal and external Service Level Agreements (SLA) Responsible for input and development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the group to ensure operational and financial goals are accomplished within designated region Coordinate with Vehicle Inspectors to complete tasks as directed by management Develop and train Vehicle Inspectors to include performance management, ongoing coaching, feedback and supporting employee growth Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, and schedules from designated manager, or other corporate sources Conduct employee meetings frequently to communicate Company and department issues and build teamwork among the employees Develop and maintain positive working relationships and ensure appropriate communication between all auction Departments in order to properly service customer accounts Evaluate expenses, ensuring staffing levels are consistent with workloads  Assist in the recruiting and hiring process Ensure that Vehicle Inspectors meet or exceed metrics as assigned by Auction management and corporate leadership Ensure proper scheduling and staffing to meet operational and customer needs Other duties, as assigned Skills and Attributes Strong verbal and written communication skills Leads through encouragement and coaching, navigates conflict through positive conflict resolution Sales and customer focused, with an organized and systematic approach to the work Demonstrated ability to follow-through both with internal partners and external customers Forward-thinking Detail oriented and consistent in the execution of job duties  Excel in a fast-pace, high-pressure environment where speed and quality are paramount Self-motivated in order to drive the best customer experience possible Ability to demonstrate professional behavior always Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Auction experience preferred Minimum 1 year of vehicle inspection or body shop estimating experience required   Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail Confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information Proven ability to manage deliverables and metrics against aggressive targets and timelines Proficiency with computer systems and applications Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements ADESA Benefits and Perks Competitive Pay | Quality Benefits | Holiday and Paid Time Off | Education and Equipment Reimbursement Programs | Matching 401(k) | Career Path Opportunities | And More!   Other Requirements To be able to do your job at ADESA, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.
