Job Description

Summary
Independent full-time position that reports to the Manager of Publications to manage and streamline the processes surrounding the distribution and maintenance of electronic revision files and complete electronic versions of manuals. Will serve as the interface between tech writing and other publications personnel to ensure proper preparation, integrity, and file maintenance of all electronically distributed manuals and their revisions to ensure FAA regulatory compliance of data.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education:  High School Diploma/GED
Education Details: High School Diploma or equivalent
Years of Experience:  Minimum one (1) year experience in related position.

Preferred Requirements
•Computer literate with specific emphasis on publishing and Microsoft Office software.
•Data entry and file management abilities required with strong qualities in organization and attention to detail. 
•Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, PageMaker, Arbortext, HTML, Word, and Access database highly desirable.
•Have the ability to audit, edit, and maintain electronically published files and data.
•Willing to work occasional weekends.

Job Duties
•Creating and maintaining an efficient file folder structure for electronic manuals and revision files.
•Auditing all LOEPs against manual pages prior to FAA submission.
•Auditing of Highlights page and audit of revision insertion into Master Manual prior to distribution.
•Consistent and thorough proofreading of electronic documents prior to distribution.
•Updating and managing distribution process and reports in database(s).
•Print revisions/manuals for distribution as coordinated with Publications Librarian.
•Maintain and distribute documents for CD Binders.
•Maintenance of electronic media database (Man- rec).
•Posting and verifying new revisions/manuals for PubWeb.
•Maintain Form postings on PubWeb.
•Maintain revision and subscription currency of documents on PubWeb.
•Conversion of Arbortext publications to correct color/B&W printing as needed; perform quality assurance.
•Audit and maintain bookmarking of electronic publications.
•Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Publications.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
