Job Description
At AlixPartners we solve the most complex and critical challenges by moving quickly from analysis to action when it really matters; creating value that has a lasting impact on companies, their people, and the communities they serve. We prize diversity and inclusion, the intellectually curious, the inventive, and the forward‑thinking.
What sets us apart is a culture that enables each professional to shape their own development path: career progression is not governed by rigid cycles, but by individual growth, readiness, and ambition. You will find a collaborative environment where long‑term development, mentorship, and flexibility are integral to how we work.
We invite you to influence the way we operate and contribute to the way we embrace tomorrow. The Automotive & Industrial Industry Our team partners with OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and industrial manufacturers to tackle urgent and complex challenges across the value chain. We don’t just advise—we roll up our sleeves and work side‑by‑side with leadership and operational teams to stabilize performance, redesign footprints, and accelerate transformation.
From optimizing global manufacturing networks to driving procurement savings and improving working capital, we focus on execution as much as strategy. You will see the impact of your work in operational KPIs and financial results, not just in presentations. What You’ll Do As a Management Consultant in Automotive & Industrial, you will: Diagnose operational and financial issues and translate insights into actionable plans.
Engage directly with client teams—from boardroom to shop floor—to implement improvements. Build models to quantify benefits and track value realization. Support governance structures that ensure rapid decision‑making and accountability. Prepare executive‑level communications that turn complex analysis into clear, pragmatic recommendations. What You’ll Need Four to eight years of experience, ideally a mix of consulting and industry within automotive or industrial sectors.
Proven exposure to one or more of: manufacturing footprint optimization, supply chain resilience, procurement transformation, working‑capital improvement, operational turnaround, and digital operations/analytics. MBA or Master’s degree with a strong academic track record. Degrees in Engineering, Business, Operations, or Finance are preferred.
Excellent analytical and modelling skills and a track record of delivering high‑value client work. Strong interpersonal skills: ability to define roles, manage expectations, and execute within cross‑functional teams. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint fluency. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently; flexible, adaptable, and energized by fast‑moving environments—often on‑site at plants.
Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus. Willingness to travel and to work outside standard business hours when projects demand. Comfortable working in a hybrid model (office + remote). Alignment with our Core Values as in the AlixPartners Code of Conduct, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. #LI-Hybrid #LI-AP2
