Job Title: Senior Military Acquisitions Action Officer / DAG Lead
Location: Columbia, MD
Clearance Level: TS/SCI with CI poly

Summary

Supports U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Capability and Acquisition Directorate (J9) by leading the Directors Actions Group (DAG) and managing the full lifecycle of directorate- and command-level taskings. Applies comprehensive technical and functional expertise to high-impact assignments involving policy, acquisition, planning, and operational execution. Plans and leads major technology, capability, and acquisition initiatives; evaluates performance results; identifies risks; and recommends process improvements that directly impact short-term project growth, operational effectiveness, and mission success. Functions as a technical and functional expert across multiple concurrent projects and action portfolios, serving as a trusted advisor to senior government leadership.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide technical and functional expertise in service strategy, policy development, planning, and operational execution, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
· Conduct document reviews, analyze issues, prepare comments, and coordinate with leadership on policy, legislation, decision memoranda, and other critical initiatives.
· Collaborate across the organization to ensure awareness of internal tasks, timely responses to requests for information, and alignment with leadership priorities.
· Provide DAG oversight of internal task management systems (e.g., WMS, ETMS2, JIRA) to track and manage actions effectively across the directorate and Command.
· Draft and coordinate point papers to support USCYBERCOM J9 Directorate leadership.
· Engage regularly with government leadership at the Division Chief and Director levels to ensure consistency and accuracy in J9 posture, responses, and strategic communications.
· Assist government leadership in implementing command initiatives, objectives, and the development of concepts of operation and doctrine related to cyber operations.
· Lead and participate in cross-functional teams and events to foster collaboration, drive innovation and support organizational success.
· Serve as liaison to J9 Division leadership to improve business processes, and develop and implement applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Prepare and brief DAG priorities as key personnel to Directorate leaders weekly, maintaining relevant notes and tracking task details or requests from leadership.
· Coordinate preparation sessions for upcoming engagements, ensuring stakeholders are informed, deliverables are tracked to completion, and final approvals are obtained from J9 senior leaders.
· Compile and generate hiring and staffing requirements for the DAG team.
· Support contract program management office with data calls, monthly reporting, and forecasting requirements.


Education, Background, and Years of Experience

Degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering or related discipline and one of the following:
· 10+ years of experience with a Master's degree
· 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree
· 16+ years of experience with Associate's Degree or HS Diploma

Additional Skills & Qualifications

· An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.
· Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
· Minimum 8 years of related experience in large organizations and/or projects
· Minimum 3 years experience in personnel management and partnering with senior leaders
· Master's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline and 8+ years of experience
· Proficient with Confluence, JIRA, and Microsoft SharePoint to include permissions and access management
· Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Experience working within a collaborative team environment and maintaining active engagement with leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals
