Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead IT Solutions Architect to lead the design, integration, and modernization of enterprise IT environments across multiple sites. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, architecting scalable solutions, and guiding the implementation of secure, compliant, and interoperable technologies across complex network and system infrastructures. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision to drive modernization initiatives and ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards and organizational objectives.

The Lead IT Solutions Architect will work across cross-functional teams to design solutions that integrate networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems. This position plays a critical role in standardizing architecture, modernizing legacy environments, and implementing innovative technologies to support mission and operational needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the requirements gathering process with stakeholders across multiple sites to identify operational, technical, and security needs.

· Design and engineer scalable, secure, and resilient IT solutions based on industry best practices and government standards.

· Architect and integrate multi-site enterprise networks, cloud services, hybrid infrastructures, and modern collaboration platforms.

· Ensure all solutions meet Department of Defense and Army cybersecurity requirements, including secure system design and accreditation support.

· Provide technical leadership and architectural governance for enterprise IT modernization initiatives.

· Develop strategies to integrate emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and advanced networking solutions into existing infrastructures.

· Guide engineering teams in implementing standardized architectures and integration frameworks across geographically dispersed environments.

· Oversee the integration of multiple technologies, including network infrastructure, virtualization platforms, cloud services, identity management, and cybersecurity tools.

· Establish and maintain technical documentation, engineering standards, and operational procedures for system deployments and modernization efforts.

· Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency through automation, orchestration, and innovative IT solutions.

· Serve as a senior technical advisor to leadership on IT architecture strategy, modernization planning, and enterprise technology adoption.

 

Required Qualifications

· Minimum of 10 years of experience (within the last 15 years) working as a Network Engineer or equivalent enterprise infrastructure role.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience (within the last 7 years) designing and developing large-scale IT solutions across multiple systems and environments.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience leading or delivering network modernization or enterprise infrastructure transformation initiatives.

· Active Secret security clearance required.

· Demonstrated experience architecting integrated solutions across networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity tools, and enterprise systems.

· Strong knowledge of network architecture, systems integration, and enterprise IT modernization practices.

· Experience developing technical documentation, architectural standards, and engineering procedures.

 

Required Qualifications

· Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification.

· Experience working with commercial internet service providers and external network connectivity.

· Five years of experience supporting DoD network architecture and IT modernization initiatives.

· Experience conducting RF or spectrum analysis using industry-standard tools.

· Familiarity with hybrid cloud architecture, zero-trust security models, and large-scale network transformation programs.
