Referral Bonus Overview

Eligible Positions

• Tech Roles: Software Engineers, Data Scientists, IT Support Specialists, Systems Analysts, etc.
• Product Roles: Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Product Analysts, etc.
• Other Roles: Academic and administrative positions may also be eligible, depending on current hiring needs.

Bonus Structure

• Tech/Product Roles:

  • Software Engineers & Data Scientists: Up to CAD 2,000
  • Product Managers & Designers: Up to CAD 1,500
  • IT Support & Analysts: Up to CAD 1,000

• Other Roles:

  • Bonuses for non-tech roles vary, typically ranging from CAD 500 to CAD 1,000, depending on the position and level of expertise required.

Payment Schedule

• The referral bonus is paid out in two installments:
  • 50% upon the referred candidate's successful hiring and completion of the probationary period (usually three months).
  • 50% after the referred candidate completes one year of service.

Eligibility Criteria

• Referrer: Must be a current UBC employee or a recognized community member.
• Referred Candidate: Should not have applied to UBC within the past six months.
• Referral Submission: Must be made before the candidate applies for the position.
