Overview of the Referral Bonus Program

Eligibility

• Who Can Refer: All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the referral program.
• Who Can Be Referred: Candidates eligible for referral include those applying for full-time positions. However, they must not have applied to Sonoco within the last 12 months or have been previously employed by Sonoco.

Bonus Structure

• Tech & Product Roles:
  • For critical tech and product positions, such as Software Engineers, Product Managers, or Data Scientists, the referral bonus is typically higher due to the demand and specialized skills required.
  • Estimated Bonus: $2,000 to $5,000 per successful hire.
• Other Roles:
  • For non-tech roles such as Sales, Operations, or Administrative positions, the referral bonus is generally lower.
  • Estimated Bonus: $1,000 to $3,000 per successful hire.

Payment Conditions

• The bonus is typically paid out in two installments:
  • First Installment: 50% of the bonus is paid after the referred candidate completes 90 days of employment.
  • Second Installment: The remaining 50% is paid after the new hire completes 6 months of employment.

Program Guidelines

• Referrals must be submitted through the official referral portal.
• The referring employee must be actively employed at Sonoco at the time of both installment payments to receive the bonus.
• There is no cap on the number of referrals an employee can make, but bonuses are only awarded for successful hires.
