Planet Labs Referral Bonus Program

At Planet Labs, we highly value the power of personal networks in building our talented team. To encourage our employees to refer qualified candidates, we have established a robust referral bonus program. This initiative not only helps us find exceptional talent but also rewards our employees for their contributions to our growth.

Referral Bonus Details

1. Eligibility:

   • All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the referral program.
   • Referrals can be made for open positions across all departments, with a focus on tech and product roles.

2. Bonus Structure:

   • Tech/Product Roles: These roles are crucial to our mission and often require specialized skills. As a result, they carry higher referral bonuses.
     • Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers: $5,000
     • Senior Engineers, Technical Leads, Principal Engineers: $7,000
   • Other Roles:
     • Sales, Marketing, Operations: $3,000
     • Administrative, Support Staff: $2,000

3. Payment Terms:

   • The referral bonus is paid out in two installments.
     • 50% is paid after the referred candidate has completed 90 days of employment.
     • The remaining 50% is paid after the candidate completes one year with Planet Labs.

4. Process:

   • Employees must submit the referral through our internal referral portal before the candidate applies.
   • The referral must be submitted before the candidate is interviewed.
   • The referring employee’s name must be mentioned by the candidate in their application process.

5. Conditions:

   • The referred candidate must not already be in our recruitment process or have applied within the last six months.
   • Only one referral bonus will be paid per candidate. If a candidate is referred by more than one employee, the bonus will be awarded to the first referral received.
