At MDU Resources, we recognize the value of great talent and believe that our employees are the best source for finding exceptional candidates. Our Referral Bonus Program is designed to reward employees who help us attract and hire talented individuals, particularly in tech and product roles. Below is a detailed overview of the program, including the bonus structure and eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

• Who can refer: All full-time employees of MDU Resources are eligible to participate in the referral program, except those involved in the hiring process for the referred position (e.g., recruiters, hiring managers).
• Who can be referred: Candidates must be external applicants, not currently working at MDU Resources or under consideration for any position.
• Eligible roles: While referrals are encouraged for all roles, special emphasis and bonuses are offered for tech and product positions, such as software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and UX designers.

Referral Bonus Structure

The following outlines the bonus amounts for successful referrals, categorized by role type:

Tech/Product Roles

1. Software Engineers (all levels)

   • Bonus Amount: $3,000
   • Payment Schedule: 50% after 3 months of the new hire's start date, remaining 50% after 6 months.

2. Data Scientists and Analysts

   • Bonus Amount: $3,000
   • Payment Schedule: 50% after 3 months of the new hire's start date, remaining 50% after 6 months.

3. Product Managers

   • Bonus Amount: $3,500
   • Payment Schedule: 50% after 3 months of the new hire's start date, remaining 50% after 6 months.

4. UX/UI Designers

   • Bonus Amount: $2,500
   • Payment Schedule: 50% after 3 months of the new hire's start date
