Referral Bonus Structure

Tech/Product Roles

• Software Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, and other critical tech roles:
  • Bonus Amount: $3,000
  • Eligibility: Bonus is paid out after the referred candidate successfully completes 90 days of employment at GitLab.

Other Roles

• Non-tech roles such as Marketing, Sales, HR, etc.:
  • Bonus Amount: $1,500
  • Eligibility: Similar to tech roles, the bonus is paid out after the referred candidate completes 90 days of employment.

Referral Process

1. Submit a Referral:

   • Use the internal referral portal to submit your referral. Ensure you provide all necessary candidate information, including resume and contact details.

2. Application and Interview:

   • The candidate undergoes the standard GitLab hiring process. You will be notified of their progress at key stages.

3. Successful Hire:

   • If your referral is hired and completes the 90-day probationary period, you will receive your referral bonus in your paycheck.

Additional Guidelines

• Eligibility: All full-time GitLab employees are eligible to participate in the referral program.
• Multiple Referrals: There is no limit to the number of referrals an employee can make. Each successful referral will result in an additional bonus.
• Confidentiality: Ensure that the referral process is confidential and respectful of candidate privacy.
• Exclusions: Referrals of former employees who left GitLab within the last 12 months are not eligible for a referral bonus.
