This program is designed to attract top talent, particularly in tech and product roles, though it applies to other roles as well.

Referral Bonus Structure

Tech and Product Roles

• Initial Bonus: $2,500
  • Paid after the referred candidate completes 90 days of employment.
• Additional Bonus: $2,500
  • Paid after the referred candidate completes one year of employment.
• Total Bonus for Tech/Product Roles: $5,000

Other Roles

• Initial Bonus: $1,000
  • Paid after the referred candidate completes 90 days of employment.
• Additional Bonus: $1,000
  • Paid after the referred candidate completes one year of employment.
• Total Bonus for Other Roles: $2,000

Eligibility Criteria

• The referrer must be a current CMS Energy employee at the time of referral and bonus payout.
• The referred candidate must be hired into a full-time position.
• The referral must be submitted through the official CMS Energy referral portal.
• The referrer must not be directly involved in the hiring decision for the referred candidate.

Process

1. Submit Referral: Employees submit their referral through the CMS Energy referral portal, providing contact information and the candidate’s resume.
2. Candidate Evaluation: The HR team evaluates the referred candidate. If they meet the job requirements, they proceed through the standard interview process.
3. Employment Commencement: Once hired, the candidate's employment duration starts counting towards bonus eligibility.
4. Bonus Payout: Referral bonuses are processed through payroll and are subject to applicable taxes. The initial bonus is paid after 90 days, and the additional bonus is paid after one year.
