The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) in Florida offers a Referral Bonus Program designed to incentivize current employees and members of the community to refer qualified candidates for open positions. Overview

• Objective: To attract highly skilled professionals for tech and product roles as well as other critical positions within the agency.
• Eligible Positions: Primarily focused on tech and product roles, including but not limited to Software Engineers, IT Specialists, Product Managers, and Data Analysts. Other critical roles may also be eligible.
• Eligibility: Open to current APD employees and external community members who refer a candidate.

Referral Bonus Details

Tech/Product Roles

• Bonus Amount: $1,500 per successful referral.
• Payment Breakdown:
  • $750 upon the referred candidate's successful completion of 90 days of employment.
  • $750 after the referred candidate has completed one year of employment.

Other Roles

• Bonus Amount: $1,000 per successful referral.
• Payment Breakdown:
  • $500 upon the referred candidate's successful completion of 90 days of employment.
  • $500 after the referred candidate has completed one year of employment.

Process

1. Submission: Submit a referral through the APD Referral Portal. Include the candidate's resume and a brief recommendation highlighting their qualifications.
2. Tracking: Referrals are tracked through the APD Recruitment System. You will receive a confirmation email once the referral is submitted.
3. Hiring Process: The referred candidate must go through the standard hiring process, including interviews and background checks.
4. Notification: You will be notified of the referral status at key stages: interview scheduling, offer extension, and candidate start date.
